I’m a fan of Spider-man, so I loved the idea of starting with his story as a way to ease back into Marvel comics.

I read a few thrillers every year. Nest by Terry Goodkind made it onto my pile because I’d started re-reading the Sword of Truth Series, and I figured I may as well give it a try.

Brandon Sanderson’s exploration into shorter stories has lead him to create some very interesting novelettes and novellas over the past few years, and Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell is no exception.

This novel pays off on my perceived view of her style. It delivers, guys; it really does.

Weeks has built a world that nods to the modern epic fantasy tropes and sensibilities while at home with the post-modern cannon in terms of execution and character.

Perfect State is a novella by Brandon Sanderson that is almost all action and very little slow-burn worldbuilding that we usually get with his full-length novels.

This is the first novel in the first trilogy of Mistborn books, and Sanderson doesn’t hold back any creativity.

It's definitely more conspiracy thriller than zombie book.

I swiftly moved from “this is okay, I guess” to sobbing in a corner, wondering why I’d waited so long to start this story.

I believe this is my second favorite of Terry Goodkind’s stories, and, like the first book, Goodkind exhibits a passion for his characters, and the idea he wishes to share.

I'm currently rewatching it slowly to appreciate each moment as much as I have with the original trilogy.

Dune by Frank Herbert is not only an SFF must read, but a story I hear far too little about in my circles of geekdom.

The Paper Magician is a YA alternate history fantasy in the Victorian era.

This book will make you think, laugh, and wonder "who the hell asked this question?"
