My Experience with Santa Exposed by Guy Incognito

I haven’t read a middle-grade story in a long time, and as a self-proclaimed “grinch,” a Christmas story isn’t exactly what you’d expect to see me reading. So, in more than one way, this book shouldn’t work for me. But it did.

Santa Exposed or Santa Claus: Exposed (Only Read This if You Want to Know the Truth) is a middle-grade Christmas/Mystery story, following Josh and the coolest kid in class, Hollis Dawson, as they search for the REAL truth behind this whole Santa Claus thing.

The story reads at a similar reading level as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and I have to say, I think this is a good story to give to a child who is questioning whether or not Santa is real. Of course, I recommend reading it yourself first to make that judgment call, but for a lot of kids, this would work.

If you’re looking to share a story with your child this year, and your son or daughter is giving your local mall’s Santa that suspicious look, it might be time for Josh and Hollis to help them out with a little sleuthing.

*Full Disclosure — I work for the publisher. I wasn't paid to review this book. It was on my TBR list from before I worked for the publisher.*
