My Experience with Professional Integrity by Micheal J. Sullivan

Professional Integrity is a short story in Micheal J. Sullivan’s The Riyria Chronicles. In the familiar likeness of a Sherlock Holmes story, Hadrian and Royce solve a mystery involving a young woman who is seeking for them to kidnap her so that she can find a proper suitor.

I’ve never read a story from Sullivan before (though it’s high on my priority list), and this short, ten thousand word story displayed a knack for strong characterization and humor, temping me to give one of his epics a try.

I listened to this story on Audible where it’s currently free to download and serves as a great one hour listen to while doing some housework or diving. Things are busy at Emergent Realms HQ as we prepare our first big release, but the brevity of this one allowed me to fit it in.

Have you read one of Micheal J. Sullivan’s books? What do you think of his work? Should I dive deeper into his catalog?
